A Winbatch Tutorial and Program
The Use of a Dynamic Dialog and a Free OCX Grid to Display Records from a Large Table

By Stan Littlefield
Sundance DataGuard

Wizard's Note

As a service to the community of WinBatch developers, I agreed to host this tutorial created by Stan Littlefield. This is an opportunity for me to give a little back to the community, and I am delighted to have it.

The tutorial demonstrates use of several powerful, advanced features.

Although Stan states in the accompanying ReadMe file that the code requires WinBatch 2006C, I have successfully run it in WinBatch 2005G. Depending on your version of WinBatch, your mileage may vary.

Using the links below, you can download the tutorial only, which is a PDF document, or the entire package, which includes the tutorial, the code, and the grid OCX. The required VB 6.0, SP 6 runtime library is packaged separately. However, the code works as expectted with the VB 6.0, SP 5 runtime.

For support, please contact Stan Littlefield through The WinBatch Bulletin Board.

In the extremely unlikely event that you do not have the required MDAC components, you can download them from MDAC 2.8 Download Page.
